Two new national polls: Donald Trump still leads GOP pack
Fox News and Quinnipiac both released polls in the last day, and Donald Trump continues to lead both. While many networks are making hay over the fact that other competitors are starting to see their numbers rise after the second debate, it cannot be denied that the person to beat is Trump, and no one is even close to him yet.
Says MSNBC when reporting on this, “The conventional wisdom tells us that Trump’s days as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination are numbered. Those assumptions are not yet true – at all.”
Trump actually gained support on the Fox poll, with the Quinnipiac seeing him slip slightly, but still maintaining more than a quarter of the total vote, and a nearly ten-point lead over 2nd place.
